Three lights "bouillotte lamp" Empire period early 19th century

A large circular basin of chiseled and gilded bronze, decorated with “molette” motifs and large openwork palmettes ; at its center, a truncated column of the same metal, supporting a central iron rod that passes through a removable candleholder consisting of three branches decorated with lion heads, forming the lamp, basin, and candleholder, surmounted by a perforated bronze bowl. The lamp is topped by a large shade made of sheet metal painted in Empire green, decorated with palmettes, connected to the central shaft by three arched hoops, with a wide ring of gilded bronze laurel leaves at the very top. French work from the Empire period, early 19th century.
