A gold needle case, Empire period

An elongated rectangular case in yellow gold, comprising two sections. The body, with its polished flat sides, is punctuated by decorative bands engraved with stylised plant motifs and geometric rosettes in slight relief. The case is designed as a two-part sliding mechanism, allowing pins to be inserted. The ends are highlighted by moulded caps, one of which is slightly domed.
