Meissen porcelain group depicting a woman and love (Dame mit Amor). The young woman, with her garter, bare knee and plunging neckline, embodies feminine sensuality. Her knee-length skirt reveals the full depth of her bewitching eroticism. Little Cupid, full of childlike innocence, is delighted by this perfect messenger. This group was created by Paul Scheurich in 1922. Blue crossed swords mark, numbered 73315. Height: 25.5cm. Listed in the Meissen - Bergmann catalogue. Paul Scheurich designed a figure of a lady with Cupid to illustrate a short poem, 'Das Strumpfband' [The Garter] by F.W. Gotter, published in *Damenbrevier 1920*. The model was created between 1919 and 1922 and was purchased by the manufactory on March 20, 1922.
