Elegant bust depicting a young girl with delicate facial features and a serene expression. The figure wears a large bow in her hair and a softly draped garment falling over the shoulders, combined with a finely detailed bodice. The gentle modelling of the face and the naturalistic treatment of the drapery reflect the refined Italian aesthetic of the late nineteenth century.
Executed in white marble and raised on a turned marble socle, the sculpture displays fine craftsmanship and an elegant decorative presence. The work is distinguished by the quality of its carving and the harmonious balance of the composition, characteristic of the sculptures of Guglielmo Pugi, the renowned Florentine sculptor of the Belle Époque.
