Meissen porcelain group, Allegory of Autumn (Allegorie-Der Herbst), represented by Bacchus leaning against a tree trunk eating a bunch of grapes, and next to him a young faun carrying a goblet of wine sitting on a barrel.
Created by Johann Friedrich Eberlein in 1745 for a series of the four seasons. In very good condition, with minor cracks in the leaves and firing marks. Blue crossed swords mark and numbered 669. Listed in the Meissen - Bergmann catalog.
