These elegant gilt bronze wall lights date from the Louis XVI period. Each has two light arms; the upper section supports a fire urn decorated with a garland, while the lower section ends in a seed motif. The undersides of the drip pans are shaped like petals, and the candle sockets are fluted. The varnished gilding, which retains a very fine brilliance, shows slight wear on the projecting areas. Very small holes have been drilled in the drip pans between the petals to allow the passage of fine electrical wires; they are almost invisible.
