Louis XVI Living room set stamped LELARGE 18th century

Living room set comprising four large “queen-style” armchairs and a large white lacquered wooden basket-back sofa. The armchairs, with medallion backs, are carved with a wide frieze of “heart rays” and a “ribbon pattern,” as are the front and side crossbars. The large basket-back sofa is carved with the same decoration and has four legs at the front.
Late 18th-century Parisian workmanship in its original lacquer. No repairs. Completely reupholstered with new “crimson red” mohair velvet. Stamped LELARGE Jean Baptiste III (1743/1802). Master craftsman since February 1, 1775.
