Portico clock in finely chiseled and gilded bronze and cut crystal.
The base decorated with a frieze of flowering foliage supports 4 cut crystal columns, topped with capitals.
The pendulum lens is also in cut crystal.
The guilloche dial is signed Brocot in Paris. We find this signature engraved and written in ink on the dial support.
The movement strikes the hours and half-hours as it passes. During the revision of the movement, we found on the two springs, the signature of the manufacturer, Fournier in Paris and the date October 1822. This spring manufacturer was established rue St Martin in Paris.
Louis-Gabriel Brocot, a watchmaker established in Paris, was the inventor of the pendulum escapement bearing his name.
The movement in perfect condition, revised is guaranteed by our watchmaker.
