Set Of Four Large Gilt Bronze Wall Lights From The Louis XV Period

Large and rare set of four gilt bronze sconces with three light arms.

In their beautiful original gilding and in a significant interlacing movement, this set of sconces decorated with acanthus leaves, buds and flowering foliage are presented in three light arms topped with sockets representing flower buds and highlighted with bobeches in animated foliage.

The bottom of the sconces ends with a graceful bouquet blooms with large foliage.
These sconces are characterized as much by their number, it is rare to have the meeting of four sconces from the same set, as by their larger than average size at the time, but also by their strong very curved scrolling movement and their chasing finish which distinguishes this set as of very high quality.
