A swivelling gold fob seal with a compass.
English, mid 19th century.
Measures 4.3 x 2.8 x 1cm (excluding loose pendant bail).
The swivelling seal is set to one side with an enamel dialled compass beneath a convex glass and to the other side an uncarved carnelian with a bevelled edge.
