A grand tour necklace set with seventeen Tassie intaglios.
Italian, early 19th century.
The gilt metal necklace mounted with graduated oval Tassie glass intaglios. Each Intaglio depicts a classical scene, many from known, important gems from the ancient world.
The largest intaglio measures 2.3 x 1.8cm and the smallest measures 1.6 x 1.2cm.
The necklace measures 43cm in length.
