Very few biographical elements are known to us from Miss MINGERS if it is not her participation in various artistic events like the Universal Exhibition of Amsterdam of 1883 or she presents a painted portrait entitled Victorine (N ° 104) and the Salon of Ghent from 1886 where she proposes two paintings; a first named Portrait of Mme M ... (N ° 372) and a second called Jeu d’adresse (N ° 373). In both cases, she is mentioned as a resident of Brussels.
We also find flattering journalistic comments about her achievements as for example in the Revue Savoisienne (No. 11 of 29 November 1884) where she is quoted in an article on the Exhibition of Fine Arts in Brussels from September to October 1884 .: A large number of ladies have exhibited; some belong to the aristocratic world (...). Others have less brilliant names (...) Miss Mingers (...), they have been true artists; or the following page: The portrait has taken a higher rank; there are many, and some good and some admirable. We especially distinguish (...) Miss Mingers (Brussels) ...
