        The pine wood folding tray is entierly covered with black lacquer, hand painted with  different shades of gold and red lacquer in the inside.
Carved ivory pawns, half of them  tinted in red.  
The Chess set  represents a Ming emperor being opposed to a Qing emperor. 
The game  is complete and has all its original  pawns, 32 for the Chess set  and 32 for the  Jacquet ( Backgammon) aswell as two goblets and dices. 
Some chips on the box, some small lacks in particular on the smallest pawns. Some ivory plates added to reinforce stability.  
Object conform to the legislation.  No exportation outside  the EEC. 
This Chess set is very representative of the productions of  the Cantonese worshops intended for export in  the XIXe century.  
Tray is 42 x 42 x 4cm. Higher pawns are about 10cm , one is even higher.
