Alfred Casile (1848-1909) - Seaside in Provence

Oil on canvas ; Seaside in Provence.
Signed by Alfred Casile, born on February 9, 1848 in Marseille, and died in the same city on June 1, 1909, is a French painter.
He is the pupil of Antoine Guillemet and meets the painters Camille Pissarro, Alfred Sisley and Claude Monet. He married in 1891 with Constance Dutoint, a young Brusselser. His younger daughter will marry the painter louis -Mathieu Verdilhan. Although southern, he is mostly attracted by the northern landscapes he paints in the range of gray lights and faded tints.
His pictorial work is also related to the painter Eugène-Louis Boudin 1824-1898 who made many landscapes of the Normandy countryside.
It is exhibited in numerous museums, museum Granet in Aix en Provence, museum Calvet in Avignon, museum of fine arts in Béziers, castle Dieppe Dieppe, museum of Grenoble, chamber of commerce, museum Cantini in Marseille for the main.
Our round painting is a fine example of his work, in perfect condition.
