Chinese Export Porcelain Plate (Chine de Commande) with Dutch Amsterdams Bont overglaze decoration, Qianlong period, mid-18th century.This is a classic example of Chinese export porcelain (Chine de Commande), commissioned for the European market by the Dutch East India Company (VOC). The piece was fired in Jingdezhen during the reign of Emperor Qianlong in the mid-18th century. The secondary decoration (clobbered decoration) was executed in the Netherlands by local craftsmen, who added vibrant overglaze enamels.The plate depicts Anne, Princess Royal and Princess of Orange, flanked by two trumpeting cherubs (putti). The landscape composition features inscriptions in Dutch.
