A delightful Flemish still life, oil on panel, measuring 28 x 35 cm unframed and 38 x 45 cm with a period frame.
We can appreciate the beauty of the life like depiction of the fruit and the truly high-quality rendering of the shell and vase; the vivid colors and the interplay between the foreground and the rest of the panel lead me to believe this is a Flemish composition from the late 18th century.
