The Celestial Music Of Relics Late 18th Century

In this large reliquary, God the Father and his seven musical angels rest upon the Cloud, alongside five important relics ex ossibus, enshrined in bags.
Against a red background adorned with gilded threadwork, at the center is Saint Catherine of Alexandria, Virgin and Martyr. She is surrounded by four other relics: those of the Apostle Saint John, Saint Maximus, Saint Innocent, and a holy relic identified as such. Carved and polychrome wood depicts God the Father and seven of his angels watching over these relics.
Cherubim and seraphim ceaselessly sing divine glory.
Six episcopal seals are affixed to the back.
A Tyrolean work from the late 18th century.
Dimensions: 61 cm x 60 cm x 21 cm deep.
