Gold Snuffbox By Jean Joseph Barrière, Louis XVI Period

An 18-karat yellow gold snuffbox.
It is entirely guilloché with waves and ripples.
Oval in shape, it has four pilasters chased with crosshatching.
The lid and base are decorated with laurel friezes and rosettes in green gold.
It opens with a hinge.

Paris hallmarks: 1775-1781,  with the date letter M for 1775.
