Ancient Greek icon depicting Saints Peter and Paul standing.
Tempera on wood with traces of gilding.
The original frame is attached directly to the edges of the wood.
The icon is painted on a single piece of walnut wood, very solid, without cracks or folds.
It is distinguished by the great elegance of the figures, stylistic perfection in every detail.
Despite some loss of color, the icon is in good condition, with a thick crack across the entire surface, which extends to the painted frame.
The work has a beautiful patina, and the signs of wear are very fascinating.
