Old Masters Paintings and Antique Furniture from the 16th to the 18th century
Pair of paintings, oil on panel, measuring 25 x 20 cm without frame and 35 x 30 cm with frame depicting allegories of the late 17th and early 18th century French school.
The paintings in question exhibit a luministic impetus of brilliant skill, to which we combine a truly meticulous precision in portraying the characters and the multitude of ornamental objects, also due to a breadth of mixtures and a perspicuity of definition which are all typical prerogatives of great painting French which has a wonderful vein in the seventeenth century.
The composition is very versatile and intelligently calibrated in the colours, above all in those continuous contrasts between the very light parts and the slightly darker ones, where the extraordinary versatility of the tables can be seen, which is faster, more colorful and more ethereal with a force truly sublime colouring.
