Polylobed in shape, it rests on four feet. With gold and polychrome enamels, it depicts a procession of samurai carrying a luxurious kago, likely including a dignitary or a damyo.
It features a finely crafted representation of the figures, and an original shape on a beautiful crackle of the earthenware. The lid's handle is shaped like a golden chrysanthemum.
