Louis Majorelle - Art nouveau “Plumes de Paon” display case

Rare solid blond mahogany and courbaril veneer display cabinet. It opens with two glass doors and a niche featuring a panel inlaid with peacock feathers. The angular jambs are molded and ribbed, the crosspieces curved and the sides rounded at the top. Beveled glass, gilded bronze locks and keys, height-adjustable shelves. This is the “Aux nénuphars” model, distributed without bronze ornamentation. Superb craftsmanship and beautiful patina!
