China, Order for the Governor of the Philippines 18th century

Rare porcelain plate decorated in famille rose enamels with the coat of arms of José Raón y Gutiérrez in the centre. The rim is decorated with a frieze of foliage and shells in pink monochrome. He was appointed Governor for Spain in the Philippines from 1765 until his death in 1773, when he married Teresa Cejudo in Ceuta (Spain).
This service can be dated to 1769 during his residence in the Philippines.
