Important Japanese armour by Myoshin Yoshihisa - 17/18th century

Of Hon-kozane Ni-mai-do type composed of thin bands with multicolored silk lacing. A 62-lames Akoda-nari suji-kabuto in russet iron, signed Myochin Yoshihiza. A finely chiseled bronze and gilt brass tehen with 5 levels. The golden brass kuwagata dai is carved with a floral decoration. The fukigaeshi are covered with leather and 6 rivets. The mabizashi is also covered with leather and silk strap, riveted and fukurin. The shikoro is imposing with 4 blades. The Mempô, of the reissei (aggressive) type, in russet iron with chiseled and very visible wrinkles is signed Sane Mori saku with detachable nose by 2 hinges. The cuirass in 2 detachable parts entirely laced multicolored very tight in kebiki odoshi as well as the sode and the kusazuri. Iron black lacquer tsutsu gote. The haidate are made of 15 brown iron plates. A tessen (in the shape of a fan) in brown iron accompanies this armour. Good condition according to the age except some restorations to the lacing. Height on its box: 155 cm with two wooden boxes.
