A high carat gold ring with a glass jugate portrait intaglio.
Italian, 19th century.

The intaglio measures 1.7 x 1.4cm.
The red glass intaglio depicts the busts of a husband and wife. The ring comprises of four gold wires forming the band, the intaglio within a swivelling gold frame, a classic collectors mount.
