Large Greek-style "Grand Tour" crater, Italy 19th century

Unusually large crater with extensive depictions of Greek mythology. Clear terracotta-coloured ceramic with ebonised paint. Two projecting scroll handles adorn the sides.
The dimensio of this crater is exceptionally rare, as is the light-coloured composition with the extensive narrative representations. Italy, probably Naples around 1850
